Barbara Jean Archinal, 83, of Midline Road, Amsterdam, NY, passed away Saturday afternoon September 17, 2016 at Wilkinson RHCF in Amsterdam with her loving family by her side.

Born in Amsterdam on February 19, 1933, she was the daughter of the late Anthony and Agnes Slusarz Danowski.

Barbara received her elementary education at St. Stanislaus School and graduated from Wilbur H. Lynch High School and was formerly employed as a clerk at Tesiero’s Pharmacy in Amsterdam.

Barbara was a parishioner and communicant of St. Mary’s Church in Amsterdam, the Jazz Agility Club, Schenectady Dog Training Club and Sacandoga Obedience Club. Barbara’s passion was her family, especially her prized grandchildren who she adored and her dogs.

Barbara is survived by her husband at Home, Edward C. Archinal, one son, Charles E. Archinal DDS (Jacky) of Amsterdam, two daughters, Dr. Wendy Archinal of Amsterdam and Mary Lynn Rouse (Barry) of Amsterdam, seven grandchildren, Jessica Archinal, Paige Maile (Luke), Bayley Archinal, Hillary, Tyler, Monica and Andrew Rouse, one sister, Patricia Lorio (Thomas) of Hyde Park, NY. Nieces and nephews also survive.

Interment will follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Fort Johnson, NY.
