Predeceased by his wife, Helen, Doc is survived by large family.
Doc completed a long and adventurous career in the military where he served in the Army as a tank gunner, in the Air Force as a medical corpsman and information officer, and in the civil service where he worked to support officer training at Lackland Air Force Base as a media manager and specialist. In retirement, Doc was an avid historical researcher, completing several Ride With Me tapes, created to share regional Texas History, and a designer, builder and flyer of radio controlled model air planes.
A private funeral service on October 1, 2015 at the Ft. Sam Houston Main Post "Gift" Chapel, to be followed by interment.
