Deborah Sue Beard, 57, of Elkhart, passed away at 10:55 pm, Friday, August 29, 2014 in Courtyard Health Care of Goshen. Deb was born on May 27, 1957, the daughter of Harry and Shirley (Starkey) Beard.
She is survived by her children, Roger Rucker, Jr. of Bristol, IN and Christine (Rick) Ralston of Ft. Smith, AR; four grandchildren, Madeline, Brooklyn, Hannah, and Brenna, mother Shirley Beard of Goshen and ex husband, Roger Rucker, Sr. of Elkhart. She is also survived by her siblings, Harry Beard, Jr. of Florida, Dan (Carol) Beard of Goshen, Ken (Jamie) Beard of Middlebury, Gary (Kathy) Beard of Goshen, Scott Beard of Dunlap, Sandy (Terry) Smith of Middlebury, and Tina (Shane) Jackson of Goshen. She is preceded in death by her father, brother, Bill and niece, Shelby Jackson.
Deb was a very giving person and was known to give more than she had most times. She was a loving mother and grandmother. Her favorite hobby was fishing.
Visitation will be held from 5:00-8:00 pm, Tuesday, September 2, 2014 in Chapel Hill Funeral Home, 10776 McKinley Highway, Osceola. Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 am, Wednesday, September 3, 2014 in the funeral home with burial to follow in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Osceola
