MISHAWAKA - Anna L. Beard, 70, of Mishawaka, passed away at 3:25 a.m. Friday, October 29th, in Memorial Hospital after a sudden illness. Mrs. Beard was born on March 18, 1940, in Truman, Arkansas, and resided in the area her lifetime. On March 18, 1960, in Mishawaka, as Anna L. McCaskill, she married Kenneth W. Beard, who survives. Also surviving are two daughters, Beth A. (Rick) Berry of Mishawaka, IN, and Kendra L. (David) Fleckner of New Carlisle, IN; three grandchildren whom she loved and cherished, Ricky Berry, Brittany Fleckner and Colton Fleckner; five sisters, Mary Drew of Appleton, Wisconsin, Marie Poole of Griffith, IN, Judy Woody of Houston, TX, Pam Kennedy of Abilene, TX, and Debbie McCaskill of Mishawaka, IN; two brothers, Lloyd McCaskill of Tyler, TX, and Marion F. McCaskill of Springhill, Florida. Anna was the owner of Continental Hair Fashion in Mishawaka. Mrs. Beard was a member of the New Life Baptist Church, the Hairdresser Association and Amico Educational Concepts. Anna was a wonderful loving wife, mother and grandmother who cherished her family as they did her. She will be dearly missed by her loving family, her church family and all who knew her during her life journey. Your life was A blessing, Your Memory A Treasure... Visitation hours will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday, November 1st, in New Life Baptist Church. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, November 2nd, in the church where friends may call one hour prior to services. Pastor Michael A. Cramer will officiate and burial will take place at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Osceola, IN.
