My main goal on FindaGrave is to make sure Memorials are as accurate as possible. I don't want this site to become the "wikipedia" of genealogy websites. Just in the past month alone I've corrected quite few erroneous pages on here. Duplications do happen sometimes. FindaGrave's search engine is very glitchy.

I've been noticing on BERKHEISER memorials some of you are doing a Copy and Paste of my data found on Rootsweb's WorldConnect. If you are, please don't. Much of my data there is at least 20 years old and I no longer maintain it since Ancestry more or less gutted Rootsweb. Over the past 20 years I've retraced the early work of Gregory Phillips to verify whether or not his conclusions were correct. In 2004 I even visited some of the same cemeteries he did when he began researching in the late 1990s. Most of his data was spot on! Plus I've added quite a bit more to where he left off. If you do use my information please credit me as your source, but when it comes to the Pennsylvania BERKHEISERs you should properly credit Gregory. Or better yet transfer your BERKHEISERs to me so I can properly maintain them.

St. Paul's Summer Hill Cemetery in Schuylkill County, Pennsylvania I'm literally related to half of the people buried there. Fortunately everyone has been pretty good about accepting my suggestions. :)

Also if you're going to post pictures to Memorials please post relevant pictures! I'm running into a lot of pages with totally irrelevant pictures of stuff that has nothing to do with the actual person. These take up space plus they cannot be deleted to make room for proper photos and information.

I've been involved in genealogy and personal family research since the 1970's. After watching the original Roots TV mini series it inspired me to look into my own family's past. I've researched my own family lines back to the 1660's and 1750's. Plus I'm researching the family line of a friend of mine. I have one of those uncommon names where I'm literally related to most of the BERKHEISERs in the USA.

Currently the editor of the South Bend Area Genealogical Society's Quarterly Newsletter since 2016. A 30 page newsletter covering society events and local history.

My main surnames are BERKHEISER, EWING, STICHLER, BRESSLER, WEED, WELLER, RUPEL, WHITEMAN, FRICK, SCHAFER, MYERS, SMITH, DENSLOW, LEEPER, PALMER plus quite a few others.

I'm researching the early pioneer families of Centre Township including the families who settled in the Auten Chapel area. Also researching the families buried in Rohrer and Van Buskirk cemeteries for the Centre Township Trustee.

BERKHEISER has been my main focus of research nearly all of my adult life and have met and researched with a wide variety of people to build a massive database devoted to that surname.
