Donna M. Beckett, 79, of Cheyenne died Oct. 13 in Cheyenne.

She was born Dec. 9, 1926, in Clearfield, Iowa, and had lived here since 1986 with prior residence in Omaha, Neb.

Donna was a microfilm clerk for Mutual of Omaha Insurance Company until retiring in 1984. She loved to read, do crosswords, and watch soap operas. She enjoyed watching football and was an avid Nebraska fan, and baseball, especially when her grandkids played in Little League and Jr. League. Her family and friends meant everything to her.

Mrs. Beckett is survived by her daughter, Ruth A. Beckett of Cheyenne; a daughter-in-law, Judy Beckett of Ames, Iowa; a brother and sister-in-law, William and Lila Kleckner of Creston, Iowa; a sister and brother-in-law, Francis Ann and Joe Moffett of Gailsberg, Ill.; five grandchildren, Nicole Morris of Cheyenne, Ragina Reynolds and Katina VanDyke both of Ames, James Beckett and Phillip and his wife, Jamie Beckett all of Cheyenne; six great-grandchildren, Eric Morris-Cardenas and Zachary West both of Cheyenne, Sailor Reynolds of Ames, Jabarin Beckett and Tija Beckett both of Cheyenne, and Marina Reynolds of Ames.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Raymond and Francis A. Kleckner; a son, David Beckett; a grandson, Dani Beckett; three brothers, Marion, Orville, and Frank Kleckner; and four sisters, Flossie Reed, Gayle Beede, Genevra Jessep, and Doralee Fisher.

Cremation has taken place at Cheyenne Memorial Gardens under the direction of Wiederspahn-Radomsky Chapel of the Chimes.
