FT. JACKSON —Fred H. Beggs, 73, Ft. Jackson, died on (Nov. 18, 1981) in the A. Barton Hepburn Hospital. Surviving are his wife, Stella; three sons, Robert, Brooksville, Fla.; Bruce, Massena; and Barry, Norfolk; two daughters, Mrs. Roland (Donna) VanDeWall, Lyons, N.Y.; and Mrs. Joseph (Barbara) Gardner, Massena; 12 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and several nieces and nephews.
He was born June 15, 1908 in Stockholm, son of James and Bertha Gooshaw Beggs. He married Stella Clemmo in Massena on Jan. 23, 1937. He was employed as a caretaker of the ice rink at Clarkson College in Potsdam for 25 years, retiring in 1957. He was a member of the Methodist Church in Ft. Jackson, and the Antique Engines Club.
