Mary Regina Brockett Kirkendall Bliss, 88, died April 7, 1998 in Salt Lake City.
She was born Sept. 7, 1910 in Mercur, Utah to Peter and Mary Bertino Brockett. She married Hugh Kirkendall with whom she had one son. He preceded her in death. She later married Theon "Bill" Bliss, Sept. 28, 1940 in Eureka, Nevada.
As an active member of the LDS Church, she held numerous positions, touching young women's lives. She liked to travel and being in the outdoors. She worked for Carbon Grocery in Dragerton for over 30 years and was known by everyone in the area.
She is survived by her husband, Bill of East
Carbon; children and their spouses, Hugh and Glennis Kirkendall of Rose Park; Mary Ellen and Edward Southwick of Sandy; six grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Friday, April 10, 1998 at 1 p.m. in East Carbon LDS Chapel. Viewing will be at the Chapel, Friday, one hour prior to services. Burial will be in the Sunnyside Cemetery.
