Hilda M. Bruggeman, 91, formerly of Stelzer Road, Maria Stein, died at 12:32 a.m. June 4, 2003, at Community Hospital, Coldwater. She had been a resident at Briarwood Manor Nursing Home, Coldwater, for 10 years. She was born Aug. 27, 1911, in Wendelin, to Frank and Clara Pokamp Brunswick. On April 11, 1934, she married Raymond B. Bruggeman who died Feb. 9, 1997. Survivors are two sons, Melvin (Betty) of McCartyville, and Robert (Carol) of Coldwater; three daughters, Mary Ellen (Floyd) Niekamp, St. Henry, Clara Jean (Fred) Hein, Chickasaw, and Lilly Mae Mock, Portland, Ind.; a sister, Laura Franks, Celina; a daughter-in-law, Cathy of Indiana; 24 grandchildren, 19 stepgrandchildren, 42 great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandchild. Deceased is a son, Dennis; a son-in-law, Ray Mock; five brothers; a sister; and two grandchildren. She was a member of St. Aloysius Catholic Church, Carthagena, and the St. Monica Rosary Altar Sodality. Funeral Mass is 10:30 a.m. Friday at St. Francis Catholic Church, Cranberry, the Rev. David Hoying officiating. Burial is at St. Aloysius Cemetery, Carthagena. Calling is 3-8 p.m. Thursday and 9-10 a.m. Friday at Hogenkamp Funeral Home, Coldwater.
