DEATH OF ARTHUR H. CAREY
Wealthy Los Angeles Man Expires at Home of Mrs. D. A. Chenoweth.
Two thousand miles from home, Arthur H. Carey, of Los Angeles, Cal., a wealthy lumber dealer, died yesterday at the home of his niece, Mrs. D. A. Chenoweth, 841 North Delaware street.
Hoping that travel would restore his failing health, Mr. Carey left his home and started on a trip across the continent, accompanied by his wife, son and daughter. Two weeks ago, they arrived in Indianapolis for a short visit with Mrs. Chenoweth. The sick man became suddenly worse and he continued to sink until the end came yesterday. Another son is at present in Los Angeles.
The body will be taken to Los Angeles for burial.
