BORDEN (Desmond), Eileen Elizabeth - 77, 324 Frederick St., New Glasgow, passed away Thursday, August 4, 2005, in Aberdeen Hospital, New Glasgow.
   Born in New Glasgow, she was a daughter of the late Isaac and Jessie (Paris) Desmond. Eileen worked at Canada Food Plant, Kentville; Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Montreal; Clairtone, Stellarton; Glen Haven Manor "Personal Care Worker", from where she retired in 1993.
   She was a member of Second United Baptist Church, Royal Canadian Legion Normandy Branch No. 34, Ladies Auxiliary, Over Fifty Mixed Dart League and Ward One Mixed Dart League. She also enjoyed gatherings with friends and family and was an avid bingo player.
   Eileen is survived by her loving husband, Peter Sr.; sons, Lawrence (Judy Lee), Josh (Heather Carrol), both of Halifax; James (Angela Talbot), Stellarton; Isaac, Vancouver, B.C.; Peter Jr. (Mary MacPherson), New Glasgow; daughters, Alanna McQuaid, Halifax; Catherine Collier (David Gibson), Gibson Woods; Elizabeth Paris (Don Styles), New Glasgow. Eileen loved all of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; sisters, Annie Reddick, Evelyn (Bert) Graham, both of New Glasgow; Margaret (Bob) Blagdon, Shirley Cane, both of Montreal, Que.; brothers, Jim (Linda), Greenwood; Clarence (Doreen), New Brunswick; Earnest Johnston, New Glasgow. Eileen was predeceased by brothers, Louis, George, Doug and Alfie; sisters, Bessie and Isabel.
   The family will receive visitors Sunday 7-9 p.m., and Monday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m., in R.H. Porter Funeral Home, New Glasgow. Funeral service will be held
Tuesday, August 9, at 11 a.m. in Second United Baptist Church, New Glasgow, with Rev. Rhonda Britton officiating. Interment will be in Lorne Street Cemetery....
