Jodella M. "Jo" Doll Banta 76, of Indianapolis, IN, died May 17, 2006. Jo was born May 19, 1929 to Herbert and Anita (Elliott) Doll, who have preceded her in death; also preceding her in death was a grandson, Don Jonas-Edward Fox.
Jodella was a professional organist, pianist and soloist her whole life; she was a member of Centenary Christian Church (Disciples of Christ), a 1947 graduate of Arsenal Tech HS, a member of Indianapolis Musician's Union, the Alpha Delta Pi Soroity, the American Legion Ladies Auxillary #465, the Scott Co. (IN) Genealogical Society, and attended Hanover College.
Jo is survived by loving husband, Don E. Banta; daughter, Donna Jo Monroe, Henri Etta (husband, Robert) Trent, Joy Kathleen (husband, Neal) Higgins; grandchildren, Chris Bales, Jody Ann (husband, Mike) Wilson, Nick Hanson, Shane Pierce, Aaron Orebaugh and Galen Monroe; great-grandchildren, Cody, Trae, Mercedes Wilson and Trevor Pierce; brothers, Jack L. (wife Ruth), James E. Doll.
Funeral services will be held Monday May 22, 2006 at 11 a.m. in Flanner & Buchanan Washington Park East Funeral Center, where family will receive friends on Sunday, May 21, 2006 from 2 to 6 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to "The Food Pantry" co Centenary Christian Church, 1035 N. Oxford St. Indpls.,IN 46201.
