DOROTHY HARRIS
Dorothy M. Harris, 71, of Bagley died Monday, Oct. 4, 1993 at the Mercy
Health Center in Dubuque.
She was born July 10, 1922 at Patch Grove to Roland and Frankie Oliver
Dubel. She married George Harris at Lancaster.
They farmed in the Bloomington area and were active in community efforts
organizing the Blakes' Prairie Bombers 4-H Club. She was a member of the
Rebecca Lodge for 45 years and Royal Neighbors of America and a Farmers Union
Youth leader. They provided a place to call "Home" for needy relatives,
friends and others. They spent winters in Arizona.
Funeral services will be Friday at 11 A.M. at the United Methodist Church
in Bagley with Pastor Becky Kindsci officiating with interment in the Bagley
cemetery. Friends may call on Thursday from 4 until 9 P.M. at the
MetcalfepKuenster-Page Funeral Home in Bloomington and on Friday from 10 A.M.
until the time of services at the church.
Surviving are her husband, George, a daughter, Karen Harris of Lancaster
and a daughter-in-law, Judy Underhill of Racine; four grandchildren, five
great-grandchildren and special cousins, George and Delores Yager of
Orangeville, Calif.
She was preceded by her parents, two sons, Jack and Jerry (sic. Terry); two
sisters, Edith Konichek and Millie Shepherd; two brothers, Kenneth and Walter
Dubel.
