She was the daughter of Allen A. & Perlina Ann Hamblin Cobb.

Mrs, Wm, S. Ensley was born May 29, 1867, and died April 29, 1924, at her home east of Montgomery City, after a brief illness of pneumonia. She was therefore 56 years, 11 months of age. She was a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Allen Cobb. On December 30, 1884, she was married to Wm. S. Ensley, and to this union were born six children. Dora Frances, Julia May, Roy Marshall, Rebecca Ann, William Shelton, and Lillian Venettia.

Mrs. Ensley was a member of the New Florence Presbyterian church, having united with the church in 1898, under the preaching of Bro. Rolly, and has been a faithful and devoted Christian ever since. She was a loving wife and faithful mother and leaves, to mourn her untimely death a husband, six children, four grand children, three sisters, one brother and a number of relatives and a host of friends. The children are: Mrs. Francis Tate of Bluffton, Miss Julia May of Montgomery City, Roy Marshall of New Florence, Mrs. Rebecca Ann Scott of Danville, William Shelton of New Florence, and Mrs. Lillian Venettia Meier of New Florence.

Funeral service were held Thursday afternoon, May 1, at the New Florence Methodist church, conducted by Rev. John B. Scholl, the pastor. Interment was in the New Florence cemetery.
