Honora (Anna) Gaughan was born in Doohoma, Mayo County, Ireland about 1830. Anna married Martin Donahue on April 30, 1850. The couple had eight children: Sarah, Anthony, Anna, Winifred, Mary, Martin Jr., Margarite, and Sabina. By 1851, the Donahue's were living in Jennings County near Vernon Indiana where Martin worked as a farmer. Anna Donahue died of Typhoid Fever on March 27, 1870.
