YORK Louis J. Hagerman, III, 65, died at 7:52 a.m. Sunday, March 9, 2008, at York Hospital. He was the husband of Katherine (Lehigh) Hagerman, whom he married 32 years ago on January 11, 1976.

Louis was born September 22, 1942, in Hanover, the son of the late Louis J. Hagerman, II and Betty (Dietrick) (Hagerman) Snyder.

He graduated from Delone Catholic High School in Hanover in 1960. He worked for Progressive Technologies, D & D Distributers and Weis Market and proudly served his country in the United States Navy.

He coached girls basketball for NEMAA; NEYSA and St. Rose Catholic School. He was a member of the Hawks Gunning Club. He attended Otterbein United Methodist Church in Emigsville.

In addition to his wife, Katherine, Louis is survived by one son, Ryan Hagerman and wife, Kristi of Apex, N.C.; two stepsons, Nevin Rentzel and wife, Traci of York and Gary Rentzel and wife, Teresa of Bonneau, S.C.; one stepdaughter, Robin Schriver and husband, John of York; one grandson, Rhett; eight stepgrandchildren; three brothers, Terry Hagerman and wife, Cathy of Calif., Rand Hagerman and wife, Carol of Las Vegas Nev., and Hayden Hagerman and wife, Jeanie of Hanover; one half brother, Michael Arnold and wife, Nancy of Lebanon; two sisters, Zoanne Haverstick and husband, Ken of New Oxford and Pam Hagerman of Washington.

Burial will be private.
