SHARON K. ABSHEAR METAMORE, IN – 2 Nov. 2007 – Sharon K. Harris Abshear, 51, formerly of Owsley Co., KY, passed away Friday, Nov. 2, 2007, at her residence. Sharon was born Mar. 25, 1956, in Middletown, OH, to Virgil & Anna Mae Thompson Harris. She was a homemaker & a member of the Buena Southern Missionary Baptist Church in Indiana. Along with her parents, she is survived by her husband, Larry Abshear of Metamora, IN; three sons, Dwayne Reynolds of Laurel, IN, Christopher Harris of Shelbyville, In & Virgil Harris of Greensburg, IN; two step children, Jeff Abshear & Sherry Jarbo; & 13 grandchildren. Also surviving are seven sisters, Phyllis Cavins & Sandy Coffey of Jackson Co., KY, Bernice Coffey & Rosie Harris of Booneville, KY, Linda Moore of Franklin, OH, Cathy Abshear of Oldenburg, IN & Judy Ford of Marietta, GA; & a host of friends & relatives. Funeral services were Tuesday, Nov. 6, 2007, at 1:00 p.m. at the Booneville Funeral Home with Bro. Rob Edwards officiating. Visitation was also held the same day, beginning at 11 a.m. until the time of service. Burial was in the Harris Family Cemetery, Booneville, KY with the Booneville Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
