Mrs. Phyllis Hartford Blow, age 74, of Auburn, died Friday, Oct. 26, 2007, at East Alabama Medical Center. Funeral services will be at 4 p.m. Monday, Oct. 29, 2007, at Holy Trinity Episcopal Church in Auburn. The Reverend John Fritschner will officiate. Interment will follow at Auburn Memorial Park.
She is survived by her husband, the Reverend John W. Blow of Auburn; three sons, Paul Hartford and wife, Beth, of Knoxville, Tenn.; James Hartford and wife, Tracy, of Auburn, Ala., and Timothy Hartford and wife, Caitlin, of Snohomish, Wash.; one sister, Judith Hance of Seattle; five grandchildren, Titus and Jordan Hartford of Auburn, Ala., Grant Hartford of Knoxville, Tenn., and Samantha and Michael Hartford of Snohomish.
Mrs. Blow had been a resident of the Auburn area since 1960. She and her husband, John, pastored Emmanuel Episcopal Church in Opelika and Saint Stephens Episcopal Church in Smiths, Ala. The Reverend and Mrs. Blow had been residents of Oak Park Retirement Center in Auburn for the past 18 months.
The family respectfully declines gifts and flowers and suggests that memorial donations be directed to Holy Trinity Episcopal Church, 100 Church Drive, Auburn, AL 36830.
