Lois Alida Haynie was born January 25, 1917, in Chicago, Illinois, the daughter of Wilbur and Christina (Van Bezey) Haynie. She was educated in the Chicago schools. She married Orville George Hessler on June 15, 1935, in Waukegan, Illinois. They made their home in Owensboro, Kentucky. They were the parents of Richard and Robert Hessler. She was employed with Kenrad radio/radar tube factory in Owensboro. Lois and Orville were later divorced. She then moved to Miami Beach and did waitressing work. She married Joseph Hart in 1946 and were later divorced. She married Clifford Liddell Arnold in 1950, in Miami, Florida. The couple moved to Huntsville, Alabama, where she was employed as a clerk at the NASA Marshall Space Center. They then moved to Miami, Florida, where she was employed as a clerk with the US Postal Service, until she retired in 1979 and moved to Port St. Lucie.
Surviving are her husband, Clifford; two sons, Richard Hessler and Robert (Elizabeth) Hessler; and two grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
