Death entered the homes of two aged nest door neighbors on Roanoke street within a few hours Monday night, Mrs. Cynthia A. Green died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Gus B. Lewis in her 84th year. Ira W. Brown passed away at his home in his 86th year.

MRS. CYNTHIA ALVIRA GREEN
When death came to Mrs. Cynthia Alvira Green at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Gus B.Lewis, just a few minutes before midnight June 13, there was taken a friendly woman who had lived in Seneca off and on for the past forty years.

Mrs. Green had a sinking spell of the heart a few weeks ago but rallied from it and was up and about the house until Monday evening about five o'clock when the attack came again. She rallied but succumbed to a third attack.

Westville, Indiana was the home town of Cynthia A. Holliday. It was here that she was married to her first husband and it was to this union that all her children were born. Ten years after her marriage to Henry Lope, she was widowed. To them were born these children: Mrs. Elva O. Lewis, Seneca; Mrs. Etta Weyer, Clyde, Kansas; Ellsworth Lope and Lulu L. Ellner, deceased. She had nine grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. Mrs. Green's birth date was September 5, 1848.

At Avoca, Iowa she was married to Joseph F. Green and thereafter they came to Kansas and settled at Seneca about 1892. Mr. Green died some thirty years ago. After Mr. Green's death she made her home with her children, Mrs. Weyer and Mrs. Lewis.

Mrs. Green was a member of the Methodist church of Clyde where she placed her letter when she went there to live with Mrs. Weyer.

The funeral services will be held from the home of Mrs. Lewis this (Thursday) afternoon at 2:30. Rev. H. T. Vigour, the pastor, in charge of the last rites. She will be buried in the city cemetery.

A granddaughter, Mrs. Will Willis, and husband, Onaga, were with their grandmother when she passed away and will remain until after the funeral. Mrs. Weyer, a daughter, is also expected to be in attendance.
