THOMSON, Ga. - Mrs. Maude (Nana) James Beasley, 76, of Guill St. Thomson, GA entered into rest February 8, 2008 at Heartland Hospice. She was the beloved wife of the late Roy James and the late Clarence L. Beasley. Funeral services will be held at 4:00 PM Monday, February 11, 2008, at Bethel Baptist Church with Rev. Tim Ferrell officiating. Interment will follow in Savannah Valley Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be Tommy Weathers, Wesley Bailey, Vic Pulliam, Donnie Hadden, Bobby Gene Hadden and Smokey Thames. Honorary Pallbearers will be grandsons and great-grandsons, Jeff Phillips, Steve Blount, Will Shelton, David Wilson, Jr., Josh and Jeffery Phillips, Adam and Leland Bazemore, Trey Neal, Devan, Dawson and Trey Wilson. Mrs. Beasley was born in Davisboro, GA but lived in McDuffie County most of her life. She was retired as a seamstress from Stapleton Garment Company with 29 years of service. She was also a homemaker and a member of Bethel Baptist Church. Survivors include: mother: Gladys Parrish, Stapleton, GA; daughters: Faye Phillips, Waynesboro, GA, Carol Weathers, North Augusta, SC, Nena Blount( Pete), Thomson, GA, Hilda Shelton, Lincolnton, GA and Janie Pulliam, Gibson, GA; brothers, Frank (Buddy) Parrish, Stapleton, GA and Hubert (Buck) Parrish, North Carolina; sisters, Barbara Hadden, Thomson, GA, Della Jones, N. Augusta, SC, Mary Peck, Augusta, GA, Paulette Arrington, Keysville, GA; 13 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren. Mrs. Beasley was preceded in death by a daughter Shirley Ann James, her father Henderson Key and a brother Johnny Key.
