Grace Anne Elbert, 65, died in Klamath Falls, Ore., October 11, 2010.

Grace was born to Harry and Ella Rohwedder Klingler in San Diego, Calif. She was the oldest of two children. She grew up in that area and graduated from Highland High School in La Mesa, Calif. She then attended San Digo State University for two years.

After college, she began working as a secretary.

She married Billy Elbert on Feb. 6, 1965, in San Diego. They moved in 1977 to the Klamath Basin, where she was involved for more than 30 years as a 4-H member with her children.

Once her sons entered high school, she went back to her career as a secretry working at Altamon and Brixner schools and then Henley Elementary School for more than 20 years.

Grace enjoyed being with her family, her sons and grandsons.

She is survived by her husband, Billy Elbert of Klamath Falls; sons and daughters-in-law, Curtis and Andie Elbert of Asoria, Ore., and Chad and Nikki Elbert of Bonanza, Ore.; grandchildren, John and Justin Elbert of Klamath Falls; brother, Bill Klingler of Bakersfield, Calif.; and numerous other relatives in Iowa.
