ST. CHARLES – Unabelle E. Buller, 86, of St. Charles, passed away Saturday, March 6, 2010, at Provena McAuley Manor. She was born June 3, 1924, in Charter Oak, Iowa, the daughter of Otto and Frieda (Riessen) Kunze. "Unie" married Arthur Buller in 1944.

Mrs. Buller worked at Foster's Paint and Wallpaper in St. Charles for 17 years.

She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary 342, St. Charles Homemakers, Kane County Homemakers, Kane County AARP, and Women's Club of St. Charles. Mrs. Buller also was a 20-year volunteer at the Delnor Hospital gift shop.

She is survived by her children, Ardis L. (Richard) Black of Humble, Texas, Judith E. (Robert) Knott of Geneva, and Georgette L. (Jerry) Winchester of Aurora; four grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and seven half-brothers, Charles (Linda) Mennerick, Reginald (Mary) Mennerick, John Mennerick, James (Ruth) Mennerick, Lewis (Mehrangiz) Mennerick, and Robert and Judean Kunze.

Unie was preceded in death by her husband Arthur, to whom she was married for 62 years; her father and stepmother, Otto and Viola Kunze; her mother and stepfather, Frieda and Charles Mennerick; her sister, Lavera Davis; and her brother, Donald Kunze.

Private funeral services were held, with burial at River Hills Memorial Park, Batavia.
