Esther and her husband Joseph and family farmed the old C.O. Lindberg farm north of Oklee, Minnesota in the years 1945-51.
Esther was a Registered Nurse at the former Milwaukee County General Hospital and also worked in that capacity at various intervals in other places, including Chicago and the Pioneer Nursing Home at Erskine, MN. During this time Ester lovingly raised a family of five in the Chicago area, the farm by Oklee, MN which had been her home as a young girl, and finally the Milwaukee area.
