MRS. ETHEL M. BURKE
Mrs. Ethel M. Burke, 65, of 231 Bloom St., Sciotoville, died at 8:50 a.m. Tuesday at Scioto Memorial Hospital where she was admitted June 12.
She had been ill several months.
A native of Greenup County, Mrs. Burke was a former employe of the Selby Shoe Co. where she worked 30 years. From 1957 she had been employed as a cook in the cafeteria of Portsmouth East High School.
She was a member of Sciotoville Christian Church.
Mrs. Burke was the widow of Lawson Burke, who died in 1932.
Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Donna Willis of Franklin Furnace, and Mrs. Wanda Stevens, 5631 Kentland Ave., Sciotoville; three sisters, Mrs. Nellie Williams of Wheelersburg Rt. 1, Mrs. Mary Davidson of West Portsmouth, and Mrs. Edna Williams of Wheelersburg Rt. 3; a brother, Arthur Linkous of Wheelersburg Rt. 3, and three grandchildren.
Funeral services are to be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday at Gill Funeral Home with Jack Knechtley, minister, officiating.
Interment is to be in Memorial Burial Park.
Friends may call at the funeral home after 7 tonight.
