Douthat, Olka, Feb. 26 --- James Jasper Mayfield, 27 years old, a miner, died at 2:45 o'clock this morning at his home here. He was a veteran of World War II, having served in Germany. He had resided in this vicinity all his life.
Surviving are his widow, Mrs Lola Mayfield; six stepsons, Billie Brookshire, Johnnie Brookshire, Earnest Brookshire, Robert Brookshire, Raymond Brookshire, and Lonny Brookshire, and a stepdaughter, June Brookshire, all of the home; two sisters, Mrs Otha Coach and Mrs Beatrice Wilson of Picher, and his grandparents, Mr and Mrs Jim Pippit of Pyatt, Ark.
Funeral services will be in charge of the Goodson-Durnil Funeral home at Picher.
