Berrien County Michigan,
to Thomas Jefferson Colvin,
the son of Wilkerson Colvin and
his first wife Perlina Griffin.

County Michgian in the 1880, 1900,
1910 and 1920 census'.

d. about Sept. 20, 1893,
in Oceana County Michigan,

DAUGHTER FIRST SETTLER
OF BUCHANAN DIES AT 90.

Word has been received by relatives
here [in Berrien Springs, MI], of
the death on Saturday of
Mrs. Jefferson Colvin
[Mrs. Louisa ("Pern") Colvin],
at her home in Shelby, Mich.
Mrs. Colvin passed her 90th birthday
on November 21.
She was the daughter of
Rev. W. R. McCoy, who was the
first settler in Buchanan, [MI].
Her husband was a half brother of
the late Sam'l Colvin of Berrien
Springs, and the family resided
here [in Berrien Springs, MI] for
some years previous to their
removal to Shelby, [MI]
35 years ago.
