Mrs. Connie Merrill McGauley of New Hartford, died yesterday in her home. Dr. Preston Clark, coroner, said death was due to a heart attack.
Mrs. McGauley was born in Oriskany, daughter of Milo and Clara Hall Merrill. The family came to Utica when she was young. She was a graduate from Utica Free Academy and the Utica School of Commerce.
She married William R. McGauley on June 21, 1924, in Oneida, NY.
She was secretary at the Bossert Corp. until her retirement 12 years ago.
She leaves her husband, a brother, Orrin Merrill of Utica and two grandsons, William and Robert McGauley of Utica.
Her son, William H. McGauley was killed during World War II.
