Marie Teresa Cortese of Narrowsburg, a homemaker and a longtime resident of the area, died Thursday, November 24, 2005 in Port Orange, Fla. She was 94 years of age.
The daughter of the late John and Elizabeth D'Agustino Monaco, she was born May 30, 1911 in New York City. She was the widower of Vincent Cortese Sr.
She was a member of St. Francis Xavier R.C. Church of Narrowsburg.
In a family statement, it was said, "She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She will be greatly missed. She was a big part of our lives. She will live on in our hearts forever.
She was predeceased by a daughter, Delia Cortese; a son, Vincent Cortese Jr.; and two brothers, Nicholas and Joseph Monaco.
Friends may call on Friday from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Rasmussen Funeral Home in Narrowsburg.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday at St. Francis Xavier R.C. Church in Narrowsburg with Rev. William Scully, O.F.M. officiating.
Burial will be made in St. Francis Cemetery in Narrowsburg.
