Lillie was born to Oliver and Clara (Bourelle) Monnette. She and her family moved to Warren, Minnesota, where Lillie completed high school. On September 17, 1923, she married Leo H. Hebert at Salix, Iowa; and, the couple farmed in the Whiting, Iowa area. In 1931, Lillie and her husband moved to Elk Point, South Dakota; and in 1942, they moved to a farm near Alcester, South Dakota. After her husband's death, Lillie continued to operate the farm. In 1963, she moved to Beresford, South Dakota. Lillie died of a sudden illness at a hospital in Sioux Falls, South Dakota.
Lillie was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; four brothers; one sister; and, one son, Marvin. She was survived by three sons, four daugthers, five brothers, two sisters, twenty-seven grandchildren, and one great grandchild.
