Rose Nader Mazur, 82, of New Kensington, died 4:15 a.m. Monday (Nov. 3, 2003) in Allegheny Valley Hospital, Harrison.
Born Feb. 2, 1921, in New Castle, she lived in the Valley most of her life.
She was a bookkeeper in the Payroll Department of Harts Department Store and a clerk at Central Valley Federal Credit Union, both in New Kensington, before retiring in 1997.
Mrs. Mazur was a member of St. Mary of Czestochowa Roman Catholic Church, the Polish Falcons and Senior Citizens, all in New Kensington.
She enjoyed playing bridge, quilting, solving crossword puzzles and bowling.
Survivors include her husband of 58 years, Eugene R. Mazur; and a son, Rick Mazur at home.
She also is survived by several nephews and nieces; several great-nephews and great-nieces; and three great-great-nieces.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Deborah Jean Mazur; her parents, Abraham and Jenny Nader; four brothers, Dr. Charles, Albert, Michael and Howard Nader; and four sisters, Mary Hanna, Frances Tannas, Bessie Isaac and Ann Joseph.
Friends will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. today and from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday in JOHN F. KRUPA FUNERAL HOME INC., 1000 Freeport Road, New Kensington, where Prayers of Transfer will be recited at 9:30 a.m. Thursday. Christian Funeral Mass will follow at 10 a.m. in St. Mary of Czestochowa Roman Catholic Church, celebrated by the Rev. Richard Karenbauer. Burial will be in St. Mary Catholic Cemetery, Lower Burrell. The Polish Falcons will conduct a service at 7:30 p.m. today in the funeral home.
