ESCONDIDO -- Thelma Adams, 87, died Tuesday, May 14, 2002, at Valle Vista Convalescent Home of natural causes.
Born Feb. 9, 1915, in Ada, Okla., she lived in Escondido for 15 years. She retired as a supervisor in electronic assemble (sic) in 1979 from Hughes Aircraft in El Segundo.
Mrs. Adams was preceded in death by her son, A. M. Adams, in 1956; and husband, Alvia A. Adams. She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law Orel Ray and Zeva Adams of Escondido and Johnny Roy and Diane Adams-Rathdrum of Idaho; daughter and son-in-law Alene and Tom George of Las Vegas; brother and sister-in-law Courtney and Jesse Mae Robertson of Ada, Okla.; sister Irene Chilcote of Oklahoma City; 11 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
Viewing was held at 1 p.m. Monday, May 20, at Rose Hills Mortuary in Whitter. A private graveside service at Rose Hills Memorial Park is planned.
