BAXTER Funeral services for Georgia Verda Bush, 82, of Baxter, will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 5, from the chapel of Baxter Funeral Home. Burial will be in Double Springs Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7-9
p.m. today, Thursday, Oct. 4, at the funeral home.
Mrs. Bush died on Wednesday, Oct. 3, 2001, at NHC Healthcare in Smithville.
She was born on Sept. 10, 1919, in Putnam County to the late James M. and Cynthia Jane Rippetoe Scarlett. Mrs. Bush was a homemaker.
Her family includes her husband, Jessie Leon Bush of Baxter; a daughter and soninlaw, Janie and Freeman Brown of Baxter; two sons and daughtersinlaw, Bobby and Janet Bush of Baxter, and Jerry and Gloria Bush of Cookeville; nine grandchildren; and six greatgrandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a host of brothers and sisters.
