Adam Sheriff died at his home near Stockbridge Harbor Tuesday morning at 2 o’clock. He had not been well since he suffered a slight stroke about 3 years ago.

Adam Sheriff was born August 15, 1856 at Stockbridge. He spent most of his life around here with the exception of about sixteen years that he spent at Pulcifer, Wis., and in Arkansas. He was united in marriage in 1887 to Mary Kiesner.

He is survived by his wife, three sons, Ralph of Chicago, Clarence and Millard of Stockbridge, two daughters Grace of Chicago; and Mrs. Clara Todd, Hiwasse, Ark.; two sisters, Mrs. Laura Halla, Pulcifer, Wis., and Mrs. Dora Potter, Stockbridge.

The body was brought to the Schumacher Undertaking Parlors. The funeral will be held Thursday afternoon.
