Sudden Death of Mrs. Walter Belcher
Mrs. Daisy Belcher, 63, passed away at her home, five miles north of Royal Centre, on Friday evening, December 18, 1953, of a heart ailment.
Born February 25, 1888, at Remington, she was the daughter of Lewis and Mary Sharkey. On December 1, 1910 she married in Monticello to Walter Belcher. She was a member of the West Union Methodist church.
Survivors are the husband, two sons; Carl of Logansport, Lloyd of Muncie; five grandchildren; six sisters and two brothers: Mrs. Homer Brown Prescott, Michigan; Mrs. Waitemann Reeder, and Mrs. Alvin Palmer, Frankfort; Mrs. Della Hale, Mrs. Emma Banes, Mrs. Walter Baxter, Remington; Joseph Sharkey and Napoleon Sharkey of Remington. A daughter died in infancy.
Final rites were held Monday, December 21, 1953 at the Harrison funeral home, Royal Centre, in charge of Rev. Floyd Stephens. Burial was made in the Remington cemetery.
