Rhoda Alice Andersen, age 84, died October 11, 1996.
She was born in Salt Lake City on February 7, 1912, to Charles Coulson and Manon Lyman Smith. She was the granddaughter of Joseph F. Smith and the great grand niece of Joseph Smith.
She was married to Ralph Andersen, the well-known architectural hardware consultant who passed away in l978.
Rhoda is survived by her three children, Ralph Keith Andersen, Cheryl Jean Andersen, and Kathryn Lee Andersen McCall; eight grandchildren;, and 17 great grandchildren.
She was a lifelong volunteer, a brilliant woman ahead of her time who was a forerunner of her generation. Her compassion and sense of humor will be remembered.
Memorial services will be held Wednesday, October 16th, 12 noon, at the Larkin Mortuary, 260 East South Temple, Salt Lake City. Family and friends will gather at 11:30 a.m. prior to services. Interment Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
