Vonnie S. Dayton returned to her heavenly home on January 25, 2015. Vonnie was born April 29, 1942 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Edna Kersher Stain Coy.

She graduated from Weber High School in 1960. Vonnie married Robert McKay Dayton on October 25, 1963 in Farr West, Utah. Vonnie worked at Iomega and various other places until 2009 to retire and care for her husband.

Vonnie had a love for life and a big smile for everyone. She loved the outdoors; hunting, camping, and tending to her lovely gardens and yard, but mostly she loved spending time with her family.

She is survived by her children; Sherry D. Stoker, Marlene Dayton, Robert Dayton and Vonnie Jean Dayton all of Ogden, Utah; 11 grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren; two sisters and two brothers.

She was preceded in death by her husband, mother, one sister and one brother.

We would like to give our warmest thanks to the staff at The Gardens Assisted Living for all their love and support.

Services will be held Saturday, January 31, 2015 at 2:00 p.m at Leavitt’s Mortuary, 836-36th St., Ogden. Friends may greet the family Friday, January 30th from 6-8 p.m. and Saturday from 1:00 – 1:45 p.m.

Interment will be at Leavittt’s Aultorest Memorial Park.
