Veronica (Nonie) Heep, 96, nee Staudt, of Johnson City, died Sunday, Dec. 19, 2010, in Fredericksburg.

A funeral mass was celebrated Wednesday, Dec. 22, at 10 a.m. at Good Shepherd Catholic Church in Johnson City.

Interment followed in St. Mary's Cemetery in Blanco, Twin Sisters.
Arrangements were under the direction of Crofts Funeral Home of Johnson City where visitation and a rosary service were held Tuesday evening, Dec. 21.
Mrs. Heep was born in Fredericksburg, the daughter of Willie Staudt and Mary Jordan Staudt. She married Willie Heep who preceded her in death.
Survivors include many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Heep was preceded in death by three brothers and two sisters, including Robert Staudt, Paul Staudt, Otto Staudt, Martha Lang and Regina Heep.
Memorials may be made to Hill Country Memorial Hospice or to Good Shepherd Catholic Church.
Pallbearers included Bobby Heep, Rodney Galle, Kevin Straube, Jimmy Reichenau, Curtis Staudt and Chad Zenner.
Honorary pallbearers were Carlos Heep, Alton Degenhardt, Robert Straube, Robert Staudt Jr. and Rudy Staudt.
