Charlotte retired from Warehousing, Inc. She was a member of Christ the King Catholic Church, the Legion of Mary, and VFW Ladies Auxiliary 1114. She graduated from Mater Dei High School in 1958 and participated in the Race for the Cure for 11 years. Charlotte was known for her wit and enjoyed the races at Ellis Park.
She is survived by her husband of 32 years, Larry, sisters Mary Ann Martin (Bill) of Evansville, Ruth Cron of Paducah, KY and nieces and nephews.
Charlotte was preceded in death by her parents, Harry and Cecelia (Koressel) Steinhauser, and sisters Helen May, Dorothy Schuster, and Evelyn Roberts.
Visitation will be from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 12 at Ziemer Funeral Home East Chapel, 800 S. Hebron Ave., Evansville, with a memorial service at 7:00 p.m., and will continue on Wednesday July 13 from 9:30 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. at Christ the King Catholic Church, 3010 E. Chandler Ave., Evansville. A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday at the church with Monsignor Kenneth Knapp officiating. Burial will in St. Joseph Cemetery.
