Daughter of Ward & Jessie (Ashworth) Warburton.
She received her early education in Kansas and attended Ogallala High School in Ogallala, Nebraska. Mildred worked as a house keeper in Ogallala prior to her marriage to Harley R. Bruhn on July 23, 1940, in Grant, Nebraska. The couple lived in Ogallala, Kansas, and Nebraska before they settled in Monroe, Nebraska. In 1957, Mildred went to work at Becton-Dickinson, retiring in 1981. She enjoyed doing word puzzles, reading, playing cards, crocheting, gardening, traveling, and flowers. She was a member of the Monroe United Methodist Church and the Monroe American Legion Auxiliary.
