ADAMS, MARY ELIZABETH WEIGEL - 69, of Knoxville, Tennessee, formerly of Painesville, Ohio, unexpectedly passed away on Monday, October 22, 2007 at St. Mary's Medical Center in Knoxville. She was a deeply devoted wife, mother, sister, aunt, grandmother and friend. She was a faithful woman who gave her life to loving and caring for her family, protecting them, teaching them, and supporting them. Her sense of humor and unique perspective to any given situation were inspiring and uplifting to all who knew her. She was preceded in death by her parents Doris Leimgruber Weigel and Fred Weigel of Painesville, Ohio. She is survived by her husband of 47 years, Monroe Adams; her children, Amy Duncan (spouse Richard), Christine Adams, Frederick Adams (spouse Denise), Lucy Adams, and Andrew Adams (spouse Kristi); nine grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; her beloved sister and brother, Martha Weigel Walker and Joseph Weigel (spouse Patty). She was a beloved "Mimi" to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and a favorite aunt to numerous nieces and nephews. She was a dear friend to many and will be missed by all who loved her. A funeral Mass will be 10:00 A.M. Friday at Sacred Heart Cathedral with Monsignor Xavier Mankel officiating. Interment will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends 6-8:00 P.M. Thursday at Rose Mortuary Mann Heritage Chapel. www.rosemortuary.com
