A quiet wedding took place at 12:30 yesterday in the home of Dr. Eldridge Mix, acting pastor of Park Congregational church, when MISS VEDA BELLE CARROLL, daughter of MR. and MRS. L.E. CARROLL of Paris avenue, was married to GILBERT E. CARTER of this city. Rev. Eldridge Mix officiated. Miss Margaret Passmore of Memphis, Tenn., attended the bride and PAGE CARROLL was best man. Mr. and Mrs. Carter left in the afternoon for a trip to Memphis. They will reside in this city.
