p.1; Death of Old Cuyler Resident, George W. Albro, 71, Cuyler, passed away in this city at 5 :45 o'clock Sunday morning. He had been ill only since Thursday, when he was first stricken with appendicitis. He was born in Cuyler, 22 Oct 1856, the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. George Albro. He spent his entire life in this township where he owned a farm. At the time of his death he was living on his farm on Pease Hill with his two sons, Floyd and Newell. He belonged to the Cuyler Grange and was a member of the Methodist Episcopal church of that village. Well known throughout the section where he spent his life, his passing will be mourned by many. About 50 years ago he married Miss Flora Rugg, of Georgetown. Mrs. Albro died 16 years ago. Surviving are the six sons and daughter, Floyd and Newell, both of Cuyler, Elmer and Homer, of Cortland, Charles of McGrawville, Mrs. John Bush of Homer. He leaves 10 grandchildren and one great grandchild. The funeral will be held at the Methodist Episcopal church in Cuyler, Tuesday afternoon at 2 o'clock. Rev. Mr. Bacon of Elmira will officiate. Burial will be made in the Cuyler cemetery-Cortland Standard.
