Irene was the second of four children born to Walter Herbert and Maggie Emma (Marley) Clapp. She married William Lee Albertson in 1922.

HIGH POINT - Mrs. Irene Clapp Albertson, 90, of 1710-A N. Centennial St. died Saturday at the High Point Regional Hospital.

Funeral will be at 4 p.m. today at the Cumby Eastchester Drive Funeral Home. Entombment will be in the Guilford Memorial Park Mausoleum.

A native of High Point, she had been a resident of High Point most of her life and was a retired bookkeeper for Guilford Realty, a member of the First United Methodist Church, of the Sunday School class and a former member of the Women's Club and Eastern Star.

Surviving are sisters, Mrs. Runa Greenleaf of Liberty, Mrs. Christine Snyder of Greensboro.

The family will be at the funeral home 3-4 p.m. today.

Memorial contributions may be made to the First United Methodist Church, 512 N. Main St., High Point, N.C. 27260 or to the charity of the donor's choice.
