Services for Herbert S. Adams were conducted Sunday afternoon in the Porter Funeral Home, North Salem, with the Rev. L. C. Ziegler officiating. Burial was in the Fairview Cemetery, there. He died November 16 in a nursing home at Gosport. He had been bedfast for the past four years and unable to be out for the past 21 years. He was a former professional baseball player and town-clerk of North Salem. Survivors include a nephew, Richard Trotter of North Salem; a great-niece, Miss Jane Trotter; and great-nephew, John Trotter of Danville.
