Bob attended several country grade schools around Waverly and was a graduate of Auburn High in 1943. He soon reported for active duty in the U.S. Army, first serving in Europe (E.T.O.) then moving directly to the South Pacific. He received an Honorable Discharge in 1946. He was employed in the Allis Chalmers/Fiat Allis engineering department for 32 years, retiring in 1983. He was a past member of several of the Masonic Orders.
Surviving are his wife Dolores and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Bob was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Bernita.
Burial will be at Camp Butler National Cemetery.
