A native of Bohemia, Frank immigrated/arrived in the U.S. March 1871. On Oct. 9, 1876 he was naturalized. Frank married Mary Wagner on 25 Aug, 1879 in Cleveland, Cuyahoga, Ohio. He was a tailor, and in the Cleveland Directory for 1886 he is listed as a cloak maker, living at 1457 Garden Ave. Frank died of consumption, as did so many others during those times. I believe that the Strnad family were involved with the engraving of tombstones, polishing, etc. and the Garden address is across the street from the Brooklyn Centre Burying Ground Denison Cemetery. Possibly Frank had a thriving business.

Frank and Mary's children were: Joseph born 1880, May 'Mamie' 1882, Jennie 1885, and another daughter born 1886.

His widow Mary (Wagner) Strnad continued to live in the Garden Ave. home until a year after she married Andrew Reid on 3 Jul 1889 in Cleveland.

The spelling on the cemetery record is incorrectly spelled "Starned".
