Charlotte LaVaughan (Williams) Edmonds, passed away August 7, 2013. She was born November 10, 1933 in Palmyra, Nebraska. She was the daughter of M.L. and Addie Williams of Lansing, Kansas. She was the oldest of three daughters. She is survived by Carol Sneed; Bonner Springs and Gwendolyn Stansberry, Mora, MO. Charlotte was a graduate of Lansing High School. She was employed at Kendal’s Pharmacy in Lansing working for John and Avis Kendal. She then worked at KP&L for one year as a bookkeeper. Charlotte married Willis F. Edmonds on July 20, 1952. They lived in several rural Kansas locations including Lansing, Baldwin and Leavenworth. They have four children: Deborah “Deb” Barnes; Junction City, Arlene (Bret) Hansroth; Atchison, Christina (Tina) Farr; Lansing, and Dana Edmonds; Lawrence, Ks. She has six grandchildren; Luke (Jess) and Derrick Hansroth; James (Erin) and Jeremy Farr; and Erin and Tyler Barnes. She has two great-grandchildren; Wade Hansroth and Korben Ford. When the children were all in school, Charlotte worked at Gene’s Pharmacy as a bookkeeper. She enjoyed her work there with many pharmacists and working with the public. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, August 9, 2013, at Davis Funeral Chapel, Leavenworth. A funeral service will be Saturday, August 10, 2013 at 10 a.m. also at the Davis Funeral Chapel. Private burial will be held. Memorial contributions may be given to Cottonwood of Lawrence or Hospice Partners of Basehor.
