Terry was a carrier United States Marine Corp veteran survived by sisters, Margaret and Vicki Lynn Siler Sipe, Brothers Achie Jr and James "Jimmy" Siler along with parents Julia and Archie A Siler. Terry's life was cut short in a freak motor cycle accident near the corner of Brand Blvd and Colorado Blvd in Glendale, CA. A legally blind person made an abrupt left turn into the path of Terry's motorcycle causing the collision which left Terry trapped under the bike with gasoline surrounding the area. A bystander lit a cigarette and threw a match into the street igniting the fuel leading to Terry's death. The driver was questioned at the scene by Glendale Police and his license was revoked and the D.M.V. later terminated his driving privileges after failing the eye exam. The person who caused the fire left the scene immediately and was never questioned by police whom were provided eye witness accounts of the incident and descriptions of the person
