Music was by Mrs. A. R. McDonnell and Mrs. Ted C. Busba who sang "The Lord Is My Shepherd" and "Hold Thou My Hand," with Mrs. Harry Wordal at the organ. Pallbearers were Roy Webber, Kenneth Moore, Albert Stoessel, Oscar Stephens, Art Stephens and John Coughlin. Interment was in Mountain View Cemetery.
Mr. Bly was born June 20, 1910, at Belgrade, son of Mr. and Mrs. Samuel Bly. He attended school at Reed Point and Big Timber and Montana State College in Bozeman.
He was married to May Kingma in July 1935, at the Dot S Dot Ranch at Melville.
Deceased was in the general contracting business in this area for many years. He was always a contributor to community projects both in money and labor, one of his biggest contributions being labor and furnishing the heavy equipment for construction of the swimming pool, the biggest share gratis.
Survivors are his mother, in Bozeman; a son, David Bly of Big Timber; four daughters, Mrs. Gordon (Alice) Gavne and Krista Bly of Big Timber, Jacqueline Bly of St. Paul, Minn., and Katrinka Bly of San Diego; a brother, Luther Bly of Chula Vista, Calif.; a sister, Mrs. Letha Davis of Bellview, Wash., and six grandchildren.
